Alehm (all members meeting)

All senior EH managers from all 32 London Boroughs are invited to attend, this meeting which occurs 6 times a year.

Alehm meeting

Meeting to be held on the 17th November 2011 had an air monitoring theme, with Alehm reviewing the problems facing local authorities in trying to maintain air quality monitoring stations and ensure adequate data is available across London. In addition there was a paper was presented by the National Anti-Fraud Network on RIPA services for local authorities and feedback on current developments from the HSE and on the proposed transfer of London authorities from Scores on the Doors, to the FSA Food Hygiene Rating Scheme.

Alehm meeting

Alehm members meeting on 14th September 2011. The meeting has a health and safety theme and the presentations provide updates on curent HSE and government policy and how these will affect service delivery within local authorities. It also includes the first results of the Alehm survey on preparation for the Games 2012, and an update on developments with Scores on the Doors and the Food Standards Agency Food Hygiene Rating Scheme.

Alehm meeting held on the 5th July had a housing theme, with presentations from transport for London, National Landlord's Association on their landlord accreditation scheme, a review of the Green Deal and a review of fire safety in tower blocks.

Alehm all members meeting held on the 18th may 2011. This meeting had a food theme and includes papers on foodborne disease policy, healthy catering and an evaluation of successful interventions

Alehm meeting

The theme of the meeting held on 17th march 2011 covered developments in delivery of environmental health services. This included:

  • placing environmental services at the heart of the Public Health Agenda;
  • out-sourced and shared regulatory services; and
  • implementing regulatory services in time for the Olympics 2012.
