London scores on doors scheme

Scores on the doors

Alehm launched the London scores on the doors scheme on the Your London website on 8 October 2007. The six tier scheme has proven successful with the public and is supported by enforcement officers. In 2008, Alehm opened the scheme to any local authority outside of London that wishes to join the scheme. As of mid-2009, over 100 local authorities are using the London scheme.

Successful London scores on doors scheme expanded

Scores on the doors

Alehm's Scores on the Doors London Implementation Group has met representatives of other five-star schemes and agreed in principle to the aligning of scoring approaches to arrive at one consistent five-star scheme.

When we were first establishing the London pilot, the Food Standards Agency restricted the number of authorities outside London who could use the London scheme to about 10. However, now that phase is complete, Alehm would like to invite any other authorities to use the London scheme.
