Meetings, seminars and training.
Last year, the International Federation of Environmental Health decided to institute a day each year in the international calendar of events for the celebration of environmental health practice. World Environmental Health Day 2011 is therefore the first of its kind.
In the UK the theme of the Day will be air quality.
In support of the Day, the CIEH has arranged a conference to be held here at 15 Hatfields on the morning of 26 September 2011 from 09.30 am until 1.00 pm.
This event will be an excellent opportunity to discuss protecting people from air pollution. It is intended that there will be a mix of speakers, presentations and audience debate as we identify the challenges to be met in order to prevent air pollution and the solutions that we will need to implement. Case studies will be presented to show some of the ways in which the problem of air pollution is being tackled.
