Together Alehm and CIEH London are working with PATH National UK Ltd - a skills development agency that works with employers to address the under representation of black and minority ethnic people at middle and senior management.

Alehm's scheme, which was launched in September 2006, works in partnership with employers to provide traineeships programmes that are tailored to the needs of both the trainee and the employer.

Alehm are committed to ensuring that the students reflect the diverse cultural background of London. The scheme focuses student recruitment mainly at MSc level and enables people who already may have relevant experience, or who wish to change career direction, to join the environmental health profession. The scheme is tailored to the needs of both the trainee and the employer.

This level of student is useful to a local authority as they are able to work a substantial amount of the week while studying part time. Alehm welcome work with Kings College University.
